Find the Card shows you a card, mixes it among identical backs, and asks where it went. It is the card version of the shell game — pure object tracking with no deduction involved. The shuffle is honest; the card really is where you saw it go.
A card is revealed so you know which one to follow.
It is turned face down among identical cards.
The cards are shuffled around the table.
Click the position you believe holds your card.
Rounds add more cards and faster shuffles.
Object tracking through occlusion — keeping identity attached to a moving thing when the thing itself gives you no cue. It is the same attention system as Cup Shuffle applied to a flatter, faster stimulus.
Track the card's position, not its appearance. All the backs are identical, so appearance tells you nothing.
Pick a screen coordinate and follow it rather than trying to follow the object as an object.
Do not blink during a swap. This is the single largest cause of lost rounds.
When two cards swap with each other, watch the pair as a unit and note which side yours ended on.
Yes. The card stays where the animation puts it; there is no hidden substitution.
Cards move faster and flatter, and there are usually more of them, so it is the harder of the two.
Visual tracking, narrowly. It is a measure more than a training programme.
Tracking error accumulates. Each ambiguous crossing adds a small chance of swapping your attention to the wrong object, and those chances compound.
