Moving Target — Play Free Online

Free visual tracking game — instant play, no signup, no download

Moving Target asks you to hit targets that are moving rather than stationary. That means aiming where the target will be, not where it is — a lead-and-intercept problem that your motor system solves intuitively but not instantly.

How to play

Targets appear and move across the screen.

Aim ahead of the target, not at it.

Click to hit while it is still on screen.

Misses cost accuracy.

Targets get faster and change direction more often.

What it actually trains

Predictive aiming — extrapolating a trajectory and intercepting it. Every ball sport depends on this, and the timing component is trainable in a way that raw speed is not.

Tips to score higher

Aim where it is going. Clicking at the target is always a miss at any real speed.

Move with the target before you click, so your hand already matches its velocity.

Targets are most predictable just after a direction change. Take that moment.

Do not chase a target moving away from you. Wait for the next one.

Frequently asked questions

How much lead do I need?

Enough to cover the distance the target travels during your reaction time — typically a couple of hundred milliseconds' worth. Practice calibrates it faster than calculation.

Is this the same as Aim Trainer?

No. Aim Trainer uses static targets and measures pointing speed; this adds prediction.

Does this help with sport?

It targets the same interception timing, though transfer from a screen to a physical ball is not established.

Why do I always shoot behind?

Almost everyone under-leads at first. Deliberately over-leading for a few rounds recalibrates it quickly.
