The Science of Selective Search
In a world of constant digital interruption, Selective Attention is the brain's filter. This game drills the Frontoparietal Attention Network, which is responsible for focusing on task-relevant information.
By searching for a specific icon among "Multiple Stimuli," you are training your brain to suppress the Bottom-Up Capture of attention caused by bright colors or interesting shapes that are not your target.
Inhibitory Control
This drill also tests Inhibitory Control. When a distractor looks similar to your target, your brain must "veto" the impulse to click.
High scores in this exercise correlate with a lower susceptibility to environmental distractions and higher levels of sustained concentration.
