Geography Quiz Arcade

Host a Classroom Game

Spin up a live geography quiz room in seconds. Share the code, students join from any device.

Classroom mode

How classroom mode works

The teacher hosts a room and gets a short room code to put on the board. Students open the join page on any device — phone, tablet, laptop or Chromebook — type the code and they are in, with no accounts or sign-ups. The host controls the pace, so the whole class answers the same question at the same time.

It works well as a five-minute warm-up, an end-of-unit review or a friendly competition between groups. Pair it with our printable maps and worksheets for students who finish early, or for lessons without devices.

Using the games in class

Host mode gives you a short room code to project; students join from any device with no accounts, and the leaderboard updates as they answer. It works as a five-minute warm-up, an end-of-unit review or a team competition. For lessons without devices, the printables page builds blank maps, flag sheets and capital quizzes with answer keys.

Every game is free, needs no sign-up and runs in the browser, including on school Chromebooks. There are 106 games to choose from, covering world flags, capitals, countries by continent, US states and physical geography, so you can match a game to whichever region you are teaching this week.

A simple unit plan

Teach one continent at a time. Start with the map quiz for that continent, then its flags, then its capitals, and finish with a hosted game as review. The table below shows how many countries each continent adds, which helps when planning how many lessons each one needs.
