XP, badges and streaks — kept in your own browser, not on our servers

Playing games earns XP, and XP unlocks badges. Playing on consecutive days builds a streak. All of it is stored in your own browser rather than on our servers, which is why there is no account to create and no login to lose.

How XP and badges work

Every completed game awards XP. Harder games and better scores award more, so there is no advantage in repeatedly replaying the easiest thing you can find.

Badges unlock at XP thresholds and for specific milestones — a first run in every category, a long streak, a personal best beaten.

None of it is competitive unless you want it to be. The leaderboards page is separate and entirely opt-in.

Why streaks are worth caring about

Spacing is what makes practice stick. Five minutes on six days does more than thirty minutes on one, for essentially every task on this site, and a streak is the simplest mechanism for encouraging the former.

The streak is there as a nudge, not as a trap. Nothing is taken away when you break one, there is no notification chasing you, and no feature is locked behind maintaining it.

Where the data lives

In your browser's local storage. We cannot see it, it does not sync between your devices or browsers, and clearing your browsing data deletes it.

A private or incognito window discards its storage when closed, so runs made in one will not be saved.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to earn achievements?

No. There are no accounts. Everything is stored in your own browser.

Why did my XP reset?

Clearing your browsing data removes it, and so does playing in a private window. It is stored locally, not on a server.

Do achievements sync between my phone and laptop?

No. Local storage is per-browser and per-device, so each one keeps its own history.

What breaks a streak?

A day with no completed game. Nothing is taken away when it happens and nothing is locked behind keeping one.
