Colour discrimination and analytic perception — breaking a single perceived colour into its components. Most people can tell two colours apart long before they can say which channel is responsible, and closing that gap is what the game trains.
Fix brightness first. Get the overall lightness right and the hue becomes much easier to judge.

For yellows and oranges, blue is usually the slider doing the work — lowering blue warms the colour faster than raising red.

Screens can display two different RGB values as visually near-identical, especially in dark tones. The score uses the numbers, and it is stricter than your eye.
It builds a real feel for what the RGB channels do, which helps when you are adjusting colours by number rather than by picker.
