A curated, searchable list of the puzzle books, memory games and focus tools we recommend
Everything we recommend, in one searchable place, grouped by category. These are affiliate links to Amazon — we earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you, and nothing here is required to use the site.
Products are grouped the same way the games are: memory, logic, maths, focus, language and gifts. If you know which category you want, that is the fastest route in; if you are browsing for a present, the gifts grouping is sorted by recipient rather than by product.
Every item links straight to its Amazon page, where you can see the current price, availability and reviews. We do not reproduce any of those here, because Amazon's Associates terms do not permit displaying them outside its product API.
The selection leans towards things that last: puzzle books with a few hundred puzzles rather than a few dozen, electronic games with replay value, and toys with a clear age range.
Where a product is genuinely good for one specific person and not for others, the buying guides say so. A large-print book is not a compromise — plenty of people with perfect vision prefer it for long sessions.
Every category in this shop has a free equivalent on the site. Sudoku books have free online Sudoku; memory toys have Simon, Matching Pairs and Color Sequence; logic books have Logic Grid and Codebreaker; maths workbooks have Arithmetic 60s and Times Tables Sprint.
Buy something if you want it off a screen, or as a gift. Do not buy it because the free version is worse — it is not.
