A 30-second mixed arithmetic sprint — addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Math Drills is a thirty-second arithmetic sprint. Problems come one after another and you answer as many as you can. It is deliberately shorter than Arithmetic 60s — short enough to do as a warm-up without deciding to, which is the point of having both.
Press Start for a 30-second run.
Answer each arithmetic problem as it appears.
Correct answers immediately load the next problem.
Keep going until the clock stops.
Your score is problems solved.
Arithmetic recall speed. Thirty seconds is short enough that fatigue is not a factor, so this measures peak fluency more cleanly than a longer run does.
Do not verify. A second look costs more than an occasional wrong answer.
Warm up with one throwaway run. Cold first runs are consistently the worst of a session.
Use complements: to add 8, add 10 and subtract 2.
Type with one hand on the number row and commit as you calculate.
Short enough to run as a warm-up without thinking about it, and short enough that stamina does not enter into the score.
This one for peak speed, Arithmetic 60s for sustained speed. Both are worth tracking if you care about the difference.
Yes, drawn fresh each run within the same difficulty range, so runs are comparable.
Most people gain a third or more in the first two weeks of daily runs, then improvement slows sharply.
